Rights and Responsibilities

At The Zone Childcare Center, we are committed to treating every child and family with dignity, fairness, and respect. We want you to feel informed, included, and empowered throughout your experience with us.

Your Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

  • Receive services in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment

  • Be informed about our services, expectations, and any fees

  • Participate in decisions about your child’s care

  • File a complaint or grievance without fear of retaliation

  • Receive communication in your preferred language and in a way that’s easy to understand

  • Expect equal treatment regardless of race, gender, religion, language, ability, or background

Your Responsibilities

We ask that you:

  • Share important information needed to support your child

  • Follow program rules and guidelines

  • Treat staff, children, and families with respect

Communication and Concerns

Have a question or concern? Please speak with the Site Director at any time. We value open communication and have a formal process to ensure your concerns are addressed promptly and fairly.

Grievance and Complaint Process

We believe in creating a safe, respectful space for all children and families. If you have a concern or complaint about your child’s experience, a staff member, or any part of the program, we are here to listen and resolve it together.

How to Submit a Grievance

  • Speak directly with the Site Director or a Program Administrator

  • Request a Grievance Reporting Form from the Director

  • If verbal, staff will help document your concern properly

What Happens Next

  • A supervisor will begin an investigation within 24 hours

  • We may request written statements or supporting information

  • For serious issues, a senior staff member not involved in the situation will lead the investigation

Resolution and Follow-Up

  • If the grievance is valid, a Corrective Action Plan will be created

  • You will be informed of the outcome within 10 business days

  • All grievances are handled confidentially and respectfully
